Since the beginning, the
national D-FY-IT organization has achieved tremendous success in promoting their mission and accomplishing
their goals. Created in 1992, over 50,000 students have participated in the D-FY-IT program, impacting approximately
150,000 of their fellow peers. Each year, the number of informed teenagers continues to increase as more and
more students are educated about the dangerous consequences of taking drugs.
Currently,
the D-FY-IT organization has several chapters throughout Miami. It is actively involved in 53 Miami-Dade middle
and high schools. With an annual membership of 7,000 drug-free teenagers participating in the D-FY-IT program, D-FY-IT
strives to make a positive difference in their lives and communities.
